Terms of Service & Self-Help Disclosure

Last Updated: October 2026 • Governed under U.S. Electronic Commerce & Self-Help Software Jurisprudence

1. Nature of the Software Service

ClaimShield provides automated computer software designed to assist individuals in formatting their own factual information into standardized dispute letters and notices of claim. The software operates pursuant to the legal precedent established in LegalZoom.com, Inc. v. North Carolina State Bar and analogous state supreme court rulings regarding self-help legal document software.

The user maintains sole authority and discretion over all factual inputs, selection of document templates, and subsequent delivery decisions. ClaimShield does not review your answers for legal sufficiency, draw legal conclusions, or provide recommendations regarding your legal rights or remedies.

2. No Guarantee of Recovery or Legal Outcome

While our statutory templates cite enacted state and federal civil codes (including but not limited to the California Civil Code, Texas Property Code, and federal No Surprises Act), ClaimShield cannot and does not guarantee that your opposing party (landlord, hospital, HOA, or financial provider) will remit payment or grant your dispute. Outcomes depend on individual factual circumstances, court jurisdictional rules, and debtor solvency.

3. User Responsibilities & Representations

By using ClaimShield, you represent and warrant that all factual statements, dates, dollar amounts, and descriptions of events provided during document generation are true, accurate, and submitted in good faith. You acknowledge that submitting fabricated claims or forged instruments in legal correspondence may subject you to civil liability.

4. Pricing, Payments & Refund Policy

Fees for single document unlocks (\$9.99 – \$29.99) and the All-Access Annual Pass (\$49.00/year) are billed electronically via secure payment processors. If you encounter any technical defect in document generation, ClaimShield provides a 100% money-back guarantee upon written notice within thirty (30) days of purchase.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ClaimShield, its officers, developers, and parent entity shall not be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the software. In no event shall ClaimShield’s total liability exceed the actual purchase price paid by the user.
